Due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), Michigan Endoscopy Center is following the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and enhancing protocols and screening for anyone who enters our facility. The health & safety of our patients, and our staff, will continue to be our first priority.
At Michigan Endoscopy Centers, all patients, visitors, and staff will have a temperature check and answer COVID-19 screening questions. Check-in and waiting areas have been modified to allow for a 6ft distance. Enhanced cleaning regimens remain in place with all high touch areas cleaned, disinfected, and sanitized regularly. A pre-procedure negative COVID-19 test may be required depending on location of procedure. However, if you are already awaiting results of a COVID-19 test, you are required to provide the negative result regardless of your center requiring a test. If you (or someone close to you) is experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough and shortness of breath, or have had close contact with someone who recently has been diagnosed with coronavirus (COVID-19), do NOT come to the center. Please call your physician’s office to reschedule your procedure.
We encourage all individuals to practice daily preventative actions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
If you are having severe symptoms such as shortness of breath, and/or experiencing any GI complications, please call 911 to seek emergency care.
